Third-party glass can make a Puffco setup more personal, but appearance should not be the only consideration. A good attachment must fit the exact device, seal correctly and remain stable during normal use.
How to Clean Your Puffco and Glass
Regular cleaning prevents residue from building up around chambers, air paths and electrical contacts. Puffco’s instructions vary slightly by device, so always check the current support page for your exact model.
A Practical Cleaning Routine
Before cleaning
Turn the device off and allow every component to cool. Remove the glass and chamber carefully. Keep water and cleaning liquid away from the electronic base and USB port. Use separate containers for components that will be soaked.
Chamber cleaning
For current Peak, Peak Pro, Proxy and Pivot chambers, Puffco recommends 90% or stronger isopropyl alcohol. Peak and Peak Pro guidance specifically favors 99% when available. For light cleaning, use a cotton swab lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol. For a deeper cleaning, Puffco generally recommends soaking the removed chamber in 90%+ isopropyl alcohol for approximately 20–30 minutes.
Do not rinse a chamber with water. Allow it to air-dry completely before reinstalling it.
Cleaning the electronic base
Never submerge the base. Remove the chamber and glass, then gently clean accessible connection points and the air path with a lightly dampened cotton swab. Do not flood the contacts, charging port or seams. Let the base dry before reassembly.
Cleaning Puffco glass
Remove the glass from the electronic base before adding liquid. Soak uncoated glass in isopropyl alcohol, rinse it thoroughly with water and let it dry completely before reinstalling. For artist-made, painted, sandblasted or otherwise finished glass, check with the artist or manufacturer before soaking it because alcohol can affect some decorative finishes.
A practical routine
After use, once safe to handle, gently swab the chamber before residue hardens. Inspect the air path, contacts and glass regularly. Deep-clean sooner if residue, flooding or connection errors appear. Make sure every component is completely dry before reassembly.
Never force a chamber, glass top or attachment into place. If cleaning does not resolve a connection error, consult Puffco support rather than repeatedly tightening the component. Browse cleaning supplies or ask Vape Loft which tools fit your setup.
